Root Sciences has begun expanding its research efforts beyond traditional cannabis and hemp processing to better understand how functional and psychedelic mushrooms are extracted and refined. This initial study evaluates ultrasonic-assisted extraction of psilocybin compared to conventional solvent-based methods.

This work marks an early step in a broader research initiative focused on emerging processing categories that demand careful, data-driven approaches. Follow along in the first quarter of 2026 as we release further findings and explore how our processing and analytical equipment platforms enable controlled, scalable research in this emerging field.
